Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of Emily. I just learned of her passing. We were very close in high school but lost touch after. She was a wonderful friend - empathetic, caring, and compassionate. And so smart. May her memory be a blessing to you.

I have just learned (so very belatedly) of Emily´s death. I´m in shock. Such a lively, warm and caring person surely should live with us for many more years. Em was a superb lawyer who did excellent work for the Attorney General and the agencies she represented. The remarks left here reflect that so clearly. Her dedication to family and friends was remarkable. I will think of her as a bright star in my life and be grateful always for the friendship we shared. My heart goes out to Luis and her sisters, who must miss her every day.

I just learned that we have all lost the Emily we loved. She was the person I turned to at Girls High when my mom died and of course she was there then and many other times. We lost touch but I always hoped to reconnect. Peace to all who loved her!

I just read about this in the University of Hartford Alumni magazine and I am in shock. I am so sorry, Luis to learn of her passing. Emily and I were good college friends and co-workers at the UHA admissions office. We lost touch many years ago but I remember her so fondly and some of the best times of my life were shared with her. She was smart, beautiful and funny. I am in disbelief. Rest in peace, Ems.

My sincere condolences to Luis and the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Emily since 1989, when we worked at the Dept. of Higher Education. She was the same person back then as she was up until her passing. I was so thrilled when I found out she came to work with us at the Attorney General's Office and immediately reached out to her. It's as if we never lost contact. I will miss her hugs, laughter and cheery self. Love you, Emily ~ may you continue to do good work where you are now. Love, Diana

I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Emily as both a coworker and a friend. Emily knew something about absolutely everything. "God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." (Author unknown)

I had the honor to work with "`Em" in the Health & Ed Dept at the Attorney General. She was a very hardworking advocate for the state agencies she represented & I got to assist her on some of those cases. More importantly, I got to call her friend. `Em, I am confident the Lord will embrace your soul. Rest well till I see you next.

With such a smile and such a laugh, it was hard to come away from a conversation with Em not feeling good (and surely knowing the weather forecast!). What a shock to hear such a wonderful person, full of youthful exuberance, has left us so early. From one of Emily's AG buddies for many years, blessings to her family. Greg D'Auria

Dear Luis, I was so shocked and sad to hear of Emily's sudden passing. We worked together at the Attorney General's Office for many years and shared so much of our personal memories of our mothers, families, etc. Emily was an honest, caring woman who loved Luis, her family, the trips down south to the beach, and life in general. She left us too early but surely has gained her wings in heaven.

My sister-in-law Emily was so special to me and my family. She seemed to know when she was needed most. Like when she would spend time making Mary laugh when she was in the hospital or when she attended Tracee´s graduation when we couldn´t. Then there was the morning she came to spend time with me when my mom was dying. She never hesitated to share her love and support with all of us. This loss hurts so much. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends. We will miss you forever Auntie Em.

I am so sad to hear of Emily's passing. I am a Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and Emily was our attorney. She was a dedicated public servant and an excellent lawyer. The Commission was lucky to have her represent us in court and to have her guidance and instruction during our meetings. When we all met in person, I so enjoyed chatting and laughing as we caught up on our personal lives. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her husband, family and many friends.

To Emily's family.
My heartfelt sympathy on your loss. My association with "Em" dates back to the Attorney General's Office. She was a dedicated lawyer, and ardent advocate, possessing a contagious laugh. Whatever she put her mind to, she excelled. While she was highly respected in the Office, Emily was an even better person, with a generous heart.

I extend my deepest condolences to husband, Luis and the family. Emily was the attorney to the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. We sat next side by side at the agency monthly meeting at the LOB for 6 years. She was always professional, dedicated and a friend. We shared a common interest in jazz music and talking about the weather. I will miss that Philly girl! An angel got her wings!
