Nancy Levin Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of our mother, Nancy Jane (Selner) Levin of Glen Richey on Oct. 29, 2023.

She died peacefully at home at the age of 85, surrounded by her children after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 22, 1938, the daughter of Lester and June (Holt) Selner.

She was Presbyterian in faith.

She married Norman Levin on May 11, 1957. She worked for the Clearfield Area School District for many years in the cafeteria. She loved playing the piano and played bass in a bluegrass band with her husband and friends.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Ann Levin, who died in infancy; her parents, Lester and June Selner; a brother, Jim Selner of Julian and her loving husband Norman Levin.

She was a devoted mother to her sons, Randy (Diana Wisor) Levin of West Decatur and Scott (Jean McCartney) Levin of Walltown; her daughters, Janet (Tom) Harmic of Grampian and Linda Dee Levin (George Eggers) of Glen Richey. She will be sadly missed by her long time companion Blair Crowell, formally of Pinchy, Morrisdale. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Scott Harmic of Grampian, Jenna (Levin) Shiferaw of Tigard, Ore., Emily Levin of East Aurora, N.Y. and Jalisa Levin of Frederick , Md.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

At our mother's request, there will be no public service.

A private memorial is planned for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the donors choice of charity, the American Cancer Society or the Glen Richey Fire Hall, 86 Firehouse Rd., Glen Richey, PA 16837.
