Carol Uphold Obituary
Carol A. (Crowley) Uphold, 72, of Townsend, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer.
Her husband of fifty years, Barry W. Uphold, died in April 2020.
Carol was born in Framingham, May 2, 1949 a daughter of Phyllis Crowley and has resided in Townsend for nearly fifty years. She had attended The Perkins School where she sang in the choir and played the guitar. She also enjoyed knitting, baking and singing. She also took much joy in caring for the many day care children over the years as well as spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a very patient, giving, gracious, strong woman who was dearly loved.
She leaves two sons, Gregory J. Uphold and his wife, Ana of Leominster, Brian J. Uphold and his significant other, Beth Zantouliadis of New Salem; her daughter, Aimee L. Martinez and her husband, Wayne of Westminster; five sisters, Diane Wilson of Dracut, Lorraine Gilbert of South Carolina, Judy Cassidy of Danvers, Linda Zardeskas of Bellingham, Susan Mason of Malden; eleven grandchildren, Nicholas Uphold, Noah Uphold, Hailey Younger, Andrew Uphold, Sevina Ospina and her husband Chaz, Adriel Martin, Mikayla Martin, Gabriel Martinez, Amber Martinez, Brittany Martinez, Nolan Uphold and four great grandchildren, Christine Contois, Myla Martin, Barry Martin and Carson Roberge.
Carol's family will receive family and friends at calling hours from 4-7 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, Townsend Center. For additional information or to leave and online condolence, please visit their website at www.andersonfuneral.com.

One of the most amazing woman I have ever know! She was a warm, caring, and funny person who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it! She always treated me like family and I always loved her like family!!! She will be deeply missed! We love you Carol!
