- Tanner Glen Martin returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on July 24, 2025. Tanner was born June 26, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sheri Martin and Michael Martin. Tanner was a beloved son, brother and friend to all. He had the biggest heart and was always concerned about others. Tanner was smart and witty. His kindness and fierce loyalty were felt by everybody who knew him. He was very protective of those he loved and never hesitated to express his love. He found joy in taking care of others, especially his grandparents and mom. The love for his beautiful dog Milo was unmatched.
Tanner was an avid reader and spent countless hours with his books. He loved video games and that is how he spent time with some of his amazing friends. He recently found a love for travel and was able to go on a trip of a lifetime to Ireland in 2025 with his close friends. He found fitness in 2020 and it became one of his favorite pastimes. He was pursuing his education at Utah Valley University with a major in Exercise Science.
Tanner is survived by his mother Sheri Martin, father Michael Martin, sister Alexa Martin, brother Mason Martin, Grandpa and Grandma Bowers, Grandma Martin, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog and best friend Milo. He was preceded in death by his sister Sara and Grandfather Richard G. Martin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Meadowlark Ward, 2180 E. Meadowlark Way, (9020 South), Sandy, Utah 84093 . A visitation will be held the day of the service at the church from 9:30-10:45. Interment will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens following the service.

Chris, Joshua and Tanner were close buddies for many years.
Tanner is missed and will always s be.
Just learned my maiden name is Bowers, possibly through lineage. Christopher possibly could related to Tanner.

My nephew Christopher Klypka has been on line friends with Tanner for many years. Chris would often talk about Tanner who brought him through many a difficult times over the years. They never met in person but it didnt matter, the friendship lasted for many years. My heart and prayers goes out to all of the family. AND I just learned that Tanner´s grandparents are Bowers. That is my maiden name.. and Chirs´s Grandma´s last name too. How about that. Sending love.
