Mark Barkyoumb Obituary

Mark Barkyoumb Jr. Burnt Hills - Mark Barkyoumb Jr. of Burnt Hills, New York passed away on January 6, 2024. Born on October 16th in 1983, Mark was the cherished son of Holly and Mark Barkyoumb, Sr. and beloved brother of Tanya (Brian) and Raemie (David). Mark leaves nieces and nephews Kelsey, Maya, Mason and Chloe, Mother-in-Law Karen Sacchetti, Father-in-Law Richard Sacchetti and brother-in-law Andrew Sacchetti. Mark loved nothing more in life than his role as husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife Allyson and their four beautiful children, sons Jaxson, Colton, Gavin and daughter Shae.
Mark enjoyed being involved in his Burnt Hills community, coaching his son's baseball and football teams. He loved spending summers at the Great Sacandaga Lake, boating and enjoying lake time with family and friends. Mark served proudly as a Lieutenant for the Schenectady City Fire Department, serving station 1 for 13 years. He served the city with pride and distinction. In addition to serving as a firefighter, Mark was a small business owner and involved in real estate sales and property restoration.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, January 15th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service immediately following at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union Street, Schenectady NY. The family has asked that you please NOT send flowers. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Schenectady Firefighters Cancer Foundation www.neverfightalone.org
