PITSBURG -- Byron J. Davis, age 100, of Pitsburg, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest & Celia Davis, by his loving wife Esther, by a brother Denver Davis, son, Jack Davis and nephew Robert Davis.
Byron was a graduate of Monroe Township High School, US Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW and American Legion. He spent his working life farming. He was a member of the Darke Co. Farmers Union and the NFO.
Byron is survived by nieces, Sue Holzapfel, Jennifer Barhorst & Amanda Jones-Riffell; cousin, John Davis; longtime family friend, Eric Hussey, special friend Gene Shellabarger and numerous other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Byron's life will be held 11 am Wed. Jan. 17 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304, conducted by Pastor Chris Barhorst. Burial with military honors will follow in Mote Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 10am until service time.
