Sheila Williams Obituary

Sheila Williams SUMMERVILLE - Sheila F. Williams was born on April 12, 1961, and departed life on October 23, 2024, at the age of 63. She was born to the late Nathaniel and Juanita Frazier of Charleston, South Carolina, the fifth of eight children. She is preceded in death by one older brother on January 9, 1957. While mostly educated in the Charleston County school system, she graduated high school from West Anchorage High School, in Anchorage, Alaska. Later in life, she completed a degree from Brevard County Community College. On January 15, 1984, she married Ron Williams from Leland, Mississippi, a union that lasted 14 years. To this union two children were born, both boys Jeread Williams born in 1984, and Caylor Williams born in 1991. Sheila tirelessly focused on seeing the good in people. Originally wanting to become a nurse, she possessed an earnest interest in the wellbeing of those who surrounded her, both friends and family alike. That interest extended beyond their physical wellbeing and often into their homes as well. Sheila was passionate about interior design, to the extent that if you got into her car with no clear destination, you would assuredly end up at a model home or furniture store. Articulate and well poised, Sheila's innate curiosity and love of learning afforded her many educational accolades, culminating in her post-secondary degree from Brevard Community College. A feat in itself, she achieved her degree during her first bout with breast cancer, a battle she would eventually succumb to. Sheila was a fierce friend, a loving mother, a thoughtful sister, and caring grandparent. More than a shoulder to lean on, she would devote her time and energy to helping others to fruition. Her ability to see the good in people meant her back was never turned to you, and above all else she was truly devoted to the success of the people she loved. She leaves behind a model of resilience and caring that will resound within the lives she touched and will be dearly missed. The Home Going Service will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 12:00 noon, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery, Summerville, SC. There will be no Walk Thru on Friday evening, however; Ms. Williams will repose at 11:00 AM the morning of the service until 12:00 noon.
