For Kay, family and faith meant everything and she lovingly embraced her children and grandchildren. As the family grew, she was involved in many activities in support of her children. She was especially active in Girl Scouts, serving as a troop leader. She also served on many committees benefitting the schools her children attended. She was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Theresa Parish, where she was an active member of the choir for years, enjoyed her love of singing and shared that joy with her family. She was also past president of the parish women's organization the Theresians. Kay spent many years as a homeowner in Scituate, where she enjoyed leisurely summers from her childhood to adulthood. It was in Scituate where she was also past president of the Sandhillettes and a longtime member of the Scituate Beach Association. ln passing, Kay will now be reunited with her loving husband, John, who predeceased her in 2011 and for whom she has missed every day after their many years together, enjoying friends at St. Theresa of Avila, Boy Scouts and the Knights of Columbus. Dear Beth, I was saddened to learn recently of the passing of your dear mom, Kay. When our family moved to Laselle St. In West Roxbury in 1949 your grandparents were among the first to welcome us. When your parents moved across the street we kept up our contact with them. The neighbourhood has changed but not the memories. Kay was a remarkable woman and will always be remembered.
