Henry Curran (Harry):
4th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd NZEF. Born in Port Chalmers, 4 January 1922, died in Wellington 11 May 2018. Son of James and Ellen. Brother of Frank, Ed, Stan and Ernie. Loved and loving husband of Anne for 64 years. Doting father, father-in-law, grandfather and great- grandfather of Mark, Lewis and Carmel, Joanna, Caroline and Markus, Sina and Ritchie, Harry, Julia, and Mary, Alice and Niall, Clara, Mia and Tess, and Maia and Lucia. Loyal public servant, as an economist and diplomat, and tireless volunteer in the community. Otago, Highlanders, Chelsea, Phoenix, and equine racing supporter. Golfer, avid reader, tennis, and bridge player. A long life well lived, Harry will not be forgotten. Messages to 'The Holden Family' may be sent to PO Box 10987, The Terrace, Wellington. Donations to the Mary Potter Hospice and/or to Wellington Free Ambulance can be left at the service, in lieu of flowers. A celebration of Harry's life will be held at Old St Paul's, 34 Mulgrave Street, Wellington, on Thursday, 17 May 2018, at 3.00pm.
