Travis James Barks, age 82 of St. Louis, Missouri was called to his heavenly home on Friday, September 17, 2021, after suffering a heart attack a few days prior. Travis was born on December 28, 1938 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, one of two sons born to B. J. and June Barks (nee Waddill). He graduated from Normandy High School and spent his career working for area Ford dealerships as a salesman.
Travis loved to fix and build things and to be outdoors. His love of Fords carried over into his hobby of building Model A cars and he was a member of the Missouri Valley Region Model "A" Restorer's Club. He had many interests and hobbies including playing golf, fishing, bird hunting, trap and skeet shooting, gardening, and traveling.
Travis is survived by his children Lori Cody and her late husband, Brian, Andrew Barks and his wife, Rita, Kimberly Staten and her husband, Dale, and Lisa Ston and her husband, Steve; five grandchildren: Justin Barks, Emily Dwyer, Kyle Ston, Dylan Ston, and Tommy Ston; seven great-grandchildren; former wife and friend, Anne Marie Barks (nee Donley); sister-in-law, Monica Barks; nephew, Adam Barks; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joel Barks, and wife, Diane Barks. He never knew a stranger and made friends everywhere he went.
Services: Graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5200 Lucas & Hunt Road, St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, September 29 at 12:00 p.m. (Please meet just inside the cemetery gate by 11:45 a.m. for a procession to the grave site).

Travis was the most kindest man we've ever known he was always there to lend a hand and to lend an ear he will be deeply & truly missed & we were so fortunate and thankful to have known him our only consolation is that we know he is a piece and with Diane
