Jefferson Agsalog Agdeppa (“Jeff”), age 74, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Fountain Valley, California, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, devotion, and love.
Born on October 26, 1950, in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Jeff was the second of four sons born to Jose and Ruperta Agdeppa. In the early 1970s, he immigrated to the United States in pursuit of a better future for himself and for the family he one day hoped to raise. He carried with him little more than determination, humility, and a tireless work ethic — qualities that would define him for the rest of his life.
Jeff spent much of his career working in wheel manufacturing, a field that demanded precision, physical endurance, and consistent focus. Though the work was tough and often behind the scenes, he took pride in being part of something lasting.
Jeff was known for his steadfast resolve, unwavering dedication, and deep humility. He never sought the spotlight but instead found meaning in providing for his loved ones and showing up every day, no matter the challenge. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling with friends and family, where he combined his natural precision with friendly competition. He was also a talented cook known for his flavorful dishes and meticulous attention to detail in the kitchen.
Above all else, Jeff was a family man. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jacalyn Agdeppa, and by his beloved mother, Ruperta Agdeppa. He also leaves behind his brother, Eisenhower Agdeppa, and a large family that includes his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the lessons and values he instilled in them.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jose Agdeppa, and his infant brother, Mariano Agdeppa, who passed away at birth. Just weeks after Jeff’s own passing, his beloved older brother, Joseph Agdeppa, also passed away, a loss that further deepens the grief felt by the family. Though their departures came close together, their reunion in the next life brings comfort to the family they leave behind. In their memory, the family finds renewed inspiration to nurture the bonds that unite them and to carry forward a legacy of togetherness.
Those who knew Jeff remember him for his reliability, his selflessness, and his quiet humor. He did not measure life by material wealth, but by acts of service for the family he supported. His legacy is not found in possessions, but in the hands of those he raised, in the family he loved, and in the quiet grace with which he faced life’s struggles and joys.
May all who knew and loved Jeff remember and celebrate a life marked by resilience, humility, and love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched!

When I came to visit Auntie Perta years ago in LA Manong Jeff took his time to come and see me. I found this so endearing knowing we never had a real interpersonal interaction in the past. May you rest in eternal peace Manong. My prayers.
