Thinking of you all at this sad time. Mr & Mrs Gear lived down the road from us in Queen St Westport and I often visited as a young girl. I last saw them at our wedding 54 years ago and then we lost touch. A beautiful and most welcoming person and such a privilege to have known. I have wonderful memories so I know you will also have many to treasure.

When we came to Napier in 1991 with Bruce to work at EIT, both Shirley and Greg became good friends and were wonderful having our daughter with Downs Syndrome to stay. We last saw Shirley in her villa at the Masonic village, Taradale. Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss
