1st met when I was a pupil at Marlborough boys and bill was teaching.
What a fantastic man, funny, caring and genuinely interested in shaping the young men's lives that had the good fortune of coming across bill as a teacher.
He is one of the few from those days that I will never forget and remember fondly.

Kua hinga te totara i te wao nui a Tane.
Bill was head boy at MBC. I got to know him there in detention. I have had a life learning tikanga Maori thanks to Bill. He set me on my track. He always had time to talk.
