William John PATTINSON

William PATTINSON Obituary

Passed away at Lower Hutt Hospital on Friday 23 February 2024, aged 88 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Heather & David, Fiona, Angela & Mike, William & Susan. Adored grandfather of Kerry, Shane and Mikayla and great grandfather of Mila. Special thanks to the staff of the Bob Scott Special Care Unit (and rest home) for the wonderful and loving care they gave Willie. A funeral service for Willie will be held in Cornwall Manor, Cnr of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Thursday, 29 February, 2024 at 10.00am, thereafter private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimers New Zealand would be appreciated and can be made via https://alzheimers.org.nz/get-involved/donate/.

He has gone to that great dance hall in the sky.

I came to know Willie because my husband was in care at the SCU. He was always ready for a little dance and he always had a smile! He never complained and was always happy for a chat. He was so lovely! So sad to hear of his passing and I know the staff are sad and will miss him too. Thank you Willie for some lovely little memories. Rest in lots of love Willie xx
