William MCKINNEY Obituary
Aged 82, passed away peacefully at home, on 8th September 2022, in Wellington. Much loved husband of Kirsty Burnett and father of Raj, Keith, Iain and Ayesha. Father-in-law of Rebecca and Brittany, grandfather of Cooper and Reef, and sibling and cousin of the McKinney's who grew up in Boston. The funeral will be livestreamed, please email [email protected] for the link. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Mary Potter Hospice. All are welcome to a celebration of Bill's life at The Pines, 50 The Esplanade, Houghton Bay this Saturday, 10th September at 10.00am.

I was in peace corps with bill in Ghana for two years. His office was two doors from mine and we often went together to business beach. Dueling one trip I was caught in a riptide and bill was filming the whole event. I later asked him why he didn´t do anything and he said he got some great shots and trusted I would survive. After that we went to a local market and bought lobster and shrimp and cooked on the beach. Great memories. Great friend and co-worker.

I am saddened to hear of Billy"s passing. He was a childhood friend when I was growing up in Roxbury, Ma. I will always remember the fun times at teenage parties. Rest in Peace Billy.
