I had a memorable first time encounter with Bill Gray. I was working in Telecom's PSD looking after International DA and I occasionally call or email him as my contact at TNZI. Then one day at Wellington CRC, I connected the dots that he was the same guy I talked to on the phone and sitting with Morven in the same church where we both attended. I always enjoyed talking with him along with Morven. I will miss his smile and witty remarks and banter that made us all laugh.

Very sad to here of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill while he was with TNZI and attended many PITA and other meetings together. He was very well respected and we all enjoyed his sense of humour. A really great guy.

I had the great pleasure and honour to work with Bill in my TNZI days. He was the kindest, most gracious gentleman who was generous with his knowledge, imparting what he knew with humility and humour.
RIP Bill. You were one of the best.

Sending my deepest sympathies to all of the Gray family. Uncle Bill was some of the good ones - he had a quick wit and was wonderful to chat with and also to have a laugh with. Rest easy.

I find it difficult to say what Ifeel about the passing of my brother. I look back with regret at our early life together. When as young boys we were very different. We had completely different tastes, I loved classical music, Bil loved pop music. I loved reading hooks, he didn't. I was quiet and shy, Bill wasn't. He went. Into the Roal Navy, I went into the army. For many years we saw little of each other. But gradually we began to grow closer as far as distance would allow. On Morven and Bills' last UK visit, for that 3 month stay with us, we truly became brothers again. Sleep well brother

I worked off and on with Bill for a number of years with Bill in TNZI. He was always known as a Gentleman, but a Gentleman with a sense of Humour.
For those still on the team, he has left a legacy. He was WELL KNOWN and respected in the Pacific!
