It is with gratitude I remember the life of Bill. Bill and Catherine took on the role of parents of eleven year old twins in their first year of married life. Life in NZ was a new experience for us having just returned from India, yet we were made to feel at home and quickly settled into life at Newhaven Place in a home just recently built by Bill, the lawn still not sown and the garage still without the new spotless white Austin A35. It was a year of that I will never forget and I constantly thank the Lord for Bill and for what he taught me through his life. It was a year of faith building, learning from one who demonstrated his faith by his actions. It was also a time learning so many practical tips from an expert builder, things I learned that have been of value in the years since. I give thanks to the Lord for Bill's life and his faithful service in the work of the Lord.

We still have fond memories of Bill from our years living in Upper Hutt, 1966-1976. He was a truely gracious and Godly gentleman, and highly respected by all who knew him. We had the pleasure of talking to him again just 3 months ago when we were visiting at his church in Upper Hutt. He seemed well, and just the same as we always knew him. It was a shock to learn of his passing, but we know he is now ''with the Lord'' Our thoughts and prayers are with Catherine and the family at this sad time.

Fond memories of the year Bill and Catherine were foster parents' to John and me, 11 year old twins, in the first year of your marriage! Wow what an undertaking.
A quiet unassuming man of God who lived out his faith in a living God.
