First time I met Warwick was when I was at Tawa College with Vicki, his daughter. We were in HIS spa pool and when he checked up on us I asked him for a beer. I never got it but it set the tone for every other time we met. His was a strong personality that kept his family and friends on their toes to think strong and act strong. He will be missed.

Warwick worked with my father, Ted Gilberd, at Customs, and my father always spoke very highly of him. I remember as a small boy meeting Warwick for the first time, about 50 years ago, when he made an energetic and memorable entrance to our family home. I am pleased that I managed to see him occasionally in more recent years, and nothing changed. Condolences to Rae and all the family from Ted and Judy's family: Sue, Jill, Paula, James and me (Peter)
