Virginia EDMOND Obituary
Virginia passed away from cancer surrounded by family and friends at Mary Potter Hospice on 30th April 2024. Much loved mother to Jamil, Crispin and Camilla. Grandmother to Joseph, Leila, Lucas, Kaius, Francesca and Lorenzo. Sister, Auntie, Friend and Mentor, Virginia brought passion, laughter and a rare honesty to this world. Her engaging and insightful conversations will be missed by many. My love and sympathy to Virginia's family, siblings, friends and others close to her. I flatted with her and Michael Volkerling in Epuni St, Wellington in about 1971. I remember her curling up in an armchair after exhausting teaching. I'm so very sorry to hear she suffered from cancer and died at the end of April. I gradually met all of you, her siblings and Rachel, and Lauris and Trevor. I'm sorry I lost touch with Virginia, but heard of the activities and work of others of you, but not of Virginia's own children.
I send you all my love and condolences from the East Coast of the Coromandel. So sorry I can't get to Wellington for Virginia's farewell. I will be thinking of her and of you all,

I was friends with Virginia in her final year(s) at college. A remarkable person then and remembered ever since.
