Verity HUGHES Obituary

Verity died, after a brief illness, at her home on 6th June 2024, aged 43. Cherished daughter of Kathy & Nigel Hughes. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Ayla, Emlyn & Nicky. A much loved and doting aunt to Theo and Jay. Loved granddaughter of Beatrice Hughes (Tamahere) and the late Howard, and the late Jean & Eric Milward (Portobello). A loved/respected niece and cousin to her extended family. The family would like to acknowledge Wellington Free Ambulance and Wellington Police for their care of Verity, and also everyone who has supported us in so many ways. As would have been Verity's wish, a private cremation has taken place. Donations to HUHA (huha.org.nz) in her name would be gratefully accepted. Any messages to: [email protected]

As your anniversary passes us, we take time to remember a beautiful soul, takes way to soon.
We held a memorial for you, and planted a native tree in a local park in your memory. Now a part of you lives on
