Of Paraparaumu Beach. At Mary Potter Hospice on Friday, 9 December 2016…2 days after her 68th birthday, and the day after her 48th wedding anniversary. Dearly loved wife of Neil. Much loved mum of Sarah & Matt, and Kate. Adored Nana of Tony & Ashleigh, Jared, Boston, Baker, Anabelle, Bridie, Max, Paddy and Great Nana of Aria Valerie. Heartfelt thanks to the Mary Potter Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mary Potter Hospice, PO Box 7442, Newtown, Wellington would be appreciated and may be left at the Chapel. A service to celebrate Val's life will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu on Thursday, 15 December 2016 at 11.00am, to be followed burial at Awa Tapu Cemetery, Valley Road, Paraparaumu. Dear Neil, Sarah & Katie and your families,
We are so so sorry to hear of your sad loss. We have always thought of you all over the years, as our memories of our Baird Street days were always held dear to us. A street full of young families starting out and Val was such a wonderful friend to Jan, taking her under her wing and a welcoming caring 'mum' to Kylee when she played with Sarah and Katie at Baird St and Colmar Rd. We will always cherish these fond memories. Our thoughts and sympathy are with you.

My deepest sympathy to you all at this time of Val's death. Ken and I always enjoyed a "Horan" catchup and I know you will all support each other at this time. Am overseas at present so unable to attend Val's funeral but please know she is in my prayers and thoughts. My love to all the Horan family.
