Valerie CHERRY Obituary
Valerie May Ruth:
Peacefully at Elderslea Rest Home, surrounded by her family. Loved wife of the late Bill. Cherished mother of Tony (dec), Stephen (dec), Shanette & Merv, Bronwyne, Shane & Meda and Mark & Sharon. Much loved grandmother and Great grandmother to many. Thank you to all the caring staff from Elderslea Care Suite. A service to celebrate Valerie's life will be held in Cornwall Manor, corner Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Tuesday 10th May, at 10.30am, followed by a burial.

We were very saddened to learn of Val's passing. She loved her Country Music and was a real social butterfly when she was able to get out and about to the clubs. Val was always immaculate with her hair done and nails painted. She loved talking about her family whom she was very proud of especially her Grandies. RIP dear friend. We'll always remember your cream horns.

Very shocked & saddened to hear of passing of dear Val. I so enjoyed our chats once a month
and to know she was so happy at the Rest Home. Val always said that the staff care was wonderful and she never regretted moving there. She loved talking about her family and looked forward at any chance to be with them. I will miss her very much after all the years we talked. My deepest sympathies to all the family

Getting the call saying you passed was quite hard to take in never in a million years would i thought i´d lose such a beautiful great grandmother like you you will forever be in our hearts never forgotten always with us
