Is this Tineke, my best friend whilst she was in Belgium? She moved to NZ, we stayed in touch by letters but she drifted away. Nevertheless, I regularly think about her. I hope this is the wrong Tineke.

Dear Tineke,
Many years ago you were my best friend. I have very good memories about that time. We shared many good things in playing the guitar and in singing together, enjoying the music and nature together. Your son Joshua was likewise a good friend to our daughter Cecilia. Dear Tineke, rest in peace, we will remember you in our prayers and have you remembered in Holy Mass.

My heartfelt thanks to these wonderful people who remembered my loved younger daughter, Tineke. Your very kind words about her and her talents made my loss a little easier to accept. I know that she was so excited to have re-gained her singing voice and was looking forward to singing the Faure Requiem with the Choir. Music has many healing powers and has been essential in my life also. My love to you all.

In February 2017, a few weeks before Tineke came for the first time to our choir, I met her in local music classes. My son was playing violin. Two pieces of Elgar. Tineke came in, very quiet, to listen and shortly thereafter she started to sing, in a very low voice. She asked whether or not she was disturbing anyone. She talked with my son and told him, that it was very special for her to start spontaneously singing: the Elgar pieces were very comforting. She even wrote his name. I asked her if she had joined a choir, but she answered that she had never dared to join a choir. But that she loved singing. I told her that there were so many choirs around, maybe she should try. To my big surprise she came two weeks later to our choir. I spoke with her and observed that she was warmly welcomed by all the choir.
After we learned that she had passed away, we have sung to her memory with our 100 members, Thursday evening, April 20, 2017: the chorale nr 62, from Bach's Passion of St. Matthew, Wenn ich einmal soll scheiden, which we uploaded to the condolence register.
Translation: When I must depart one day, do not part from me then, when I must suffer death, come to me then! When the greatest anxiety will constrict my heart,
then wrest me out of the horror by the power of your anguish and pain.

Dear relatives of Tineke,
Last January Tineke contacted me to start guitarlessons. She participated for I think three lessons.
Tineke was very exited and had great talents, played the guitar very well.
I remember we'd played and sang together a beautiful song: You can close your eyes from James Taylor.
She told me she had ambition for singing classical music, so she went to the Castricumse Oratorium Vereniging.
She decided to put the guitarlessons on hold to focus completely on singing, a wonderful choice.
In the short period we met eachother I remember her as a curious, humorous and a very nice person.

Dear family and friends of Tineke,
In the Castricumse Oratorium Vereniging came in March a new member, Tineke, who wanted to do the voice test right away. She was immediately admitted to our choir, our conductor felt that she had a wonderful voice. I spoke for some time with her that evening and she was excited about herself as well as our choir. She immediately applied for membership, and even after this first night we started to miss her. We tried to contact her, but were unsuccessful. Only today we learned that she has unexpectedly passed away. So sad. Our condoleances to her family and friends. Maarten Geerdes, chairman

There is nobody like you in my life. Our shared memories, good and bad are treasures.
Our recent discussions, however painful, so honest, meaningful and heart-felt.
I know you will be in a better place. You deserve to be.
