Terence Hugh Powell O'LEARY

Terence O'LEARY Obituary

On 22 October 2023, peacefully at Wellington Hospital, aged 72 years. Dearly loved husband of Pauline, loved father and father-in-law of Leanne, Marissa & Johnny. Much loved Grandfather of Billie and George. Special thanks to Wellington Hospital nurses, doctors and staff who looked after Terry in his last days. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Cancer Society would be appreciated. Messages to the O?Leary family may be posted on Terry?s tribute page at www.tributes.co.nz. A private family farewell was held followed by a private cremation. The trumpet fanfare ? race call to the post ? has been played for the last time. Farewell and happy racing Terry.

Deepest sympathy to all Terry's family from an old school friend Kevin Morgan at Marist in Greymouth.
I remember lots of fun times with the boys and then visits to Wellington to see Terry , Jill and girls and their visits to Christchurch.
Terry was best man at Kevin's first and second wedding's thanks.
Lots of memories thanks Terry, R.I.P.

Our very dearest condolences to Terry´s family and also the Rothbury´s team. Terry will be remembered fondly for his chats in the lift or a wave coming and going from Pencarrow House.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Terry's passing. My heart goes out to Pauline and family during this difficult time.
Terry was a long time friend who I highly respected. I enjoyed his sharp humour and intellect. I have many fond memories of my time in Wellington in the early 1990's when I spent a lot of time socialising and at the races with Terry and Graeme MacKay.
