Terence Lester (Terry):
Peacefully on 4 June 2023, at Kenepuru Hospital, Wellington. Dearly loved husband of Donna, father and father-in-law of Simon and Tracey, Adam and Alison. Grandad of Ziggy and Max, brother to Ross, Andrea, and the late Grant. Son of Bette and Joe Gardiner of Feilding. The family would like to especially thank the staff of Kenepuru Hospital, Ward 4 for their care and support of Terry. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated, and may be left at www.wfa.org.nz. Messages to the family may be left in Terry's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz. The service will be live-streamed via a link at the same tributes website. A service to celebrate Terry's life will be held at Khandallah Presbyterian Church, Ganges Road, Khandallah, Wellington, on Thursday, 8 June 2023 at 12.00pm, followed by private cremation.

Donna, we were at Motuoapa when we heard the sad news of Terry´s passing, and felt it was only fit to head up to Hatepe and raise a glass to remember him. I enjoyed working with him and swapping Taupo tales at GFN.

Wonderful memories of Terry at Feilding Agricultural High School and his interest in pool

Very sad to hear that Terry passed away - have great memories from a very young age of a good man with a great personality - loved all the dinners and the summers in Hatepe - Fun times and a great era.

So sorry to read you lost Terry Donna and family. I have very good memories of him working for him and Paul in the office at Guardian Real Estate from 1986 until our move to Auckland in 1990. They were good times and I learnt a lot from him. He will be sorely missed not only by his family but all the community who knew him. RIP Terry.
