Died peacefully at 10.10am on the 2nd of October 2021 surrounded at home by his whanau. Oldest son of Hinemateora Ripeka and Hâhepa Taiki. Husband of Nita Gardiner. Father of Shar, Rene, Kirsten and Taru. Tangihanga will be held at Wehi Wehi Marae. Rangi nehua (burial day) on Wednesday 6th of October, 11am, at Wehi Wehi Marae.
Nau mai mai haere mai e te iwi ki te whakanui ā tātou
nei taonga.

It is with a sadness and respect that I note the recent bereavement of Hoko. Having worked with him for many years in times past, it is always sad to see the final passing of a good man. My thoughts go to the family and I hope that the comfort of family and friends will assist you through this difficult time.
