Susan MANT Obituary

Peacefully, at Sevenoaks Retirement Village, Paraparaumu, on March 13, 2024 and privately farewelled after a decades-long struggle with Parkinson's, borne with great courage and without complaint. Loved by her nieces and nephew in Australia, and by her many friends. Sue earned the respect and affection of all her colleagues at Queen Margaret College and in the Girl Guides movement (both nationally and internationally) and of all the countless pupils and girl guides whose lives she enriched. Sue & I first met camping as Ranger Guides in the UK in the early 1950's. Lost track when she left the UK but then she appeared on my doorstep after taking over my Guide Company at St Annes in Northland, Wellington around 1957. Trefoil connections kept us in touch from then on. RIP dear friend. Shirley F.

I was a caregiver at Kapiti Rest Home when Sue was living there and a pupil at Queen Margaret College where she taught me. Sending my condolences to all, Lyn Mayo
