Susan DOUGLAS Obituary

My condolences to Sue´s family, and her Dad. I knew Sue many years ago when I was Shona Dick and she was Sue Gudex. School, nursing (Waikato Hospital) and our fathers were medical colleagues and friends. I knew of her illness through mutual friends, but have only today learned of her passing.

Helen and I are so sorry to hear of Sue´s death.
We have very fond memories of her and we know how much she will be missed by the Douglas and Gudex families plus the community in which she played such a huge part.

A treasured light has gone out in our lives. How thankful we are to have known Sue. Sue truly was an "angel on earth". Her presence was uplifting, her empathy and understanding impactful in the best of ways, and her laughter and love infectious. Like lavender, Sue´s graceful and caring fragrance will continue to permeate the air around us. R.I.P. Sue, and a very, very special "Thank You!"

I was sorry to hear of Sue's passing. She was a wonderful woman and midwife, and a wonderful guide into the world of motherhood.
I will always be grateful to Sue for easing that transition before, during and after the birth of my precious daughter.

We were so sorry and saddened to hear of lovely Sue´s passing. Sue was midwife for all three of our daughters and made the first few weeks of parenting so much easier to navigate with her kindness, compassion and practicality.

Very professional midwife delivered my son Matthew
Worked with my husband who was junior doctor helping him get to deliver baby's
She went out of her way always.

Sue was my midwife many years ago and I have never forgotten her kindness. She was incredibly capable, confident, unassuming, professional and kind. Her smile always put me at ease.

Sue was such a kind and caring girl with a lovely sense of humor. Remembering such fun times and how special she was in our young nursing days in our class of 1972, Waikato Hospital. My deepest sympathy to all the family.

Sue delivered all my children, and was a compassionate, genuine kind lady, she made my life easier at a time when i had no idea what I was doing, went above and beyond, im so sadden to hear of her passing.... sending blessing and love to her family..
