I am so very sad to hear about Steve's death. Just so unexpected from such a vital, fun and funny guy. I worked with Steve at the end of last year, and so appreciated his wisdom, pragmatism and quirky sense of humour. I couldn't have done my job without him and I was hoping to work together again.
This must be so hard for all of Steve's good friends and whanau, all my best wishes and condolences to you all.
Katrina.

I'm so shocked and saddened to hear of Steve's passing. I only worked with him for a short time at the end of last year but he sure made an impression - a wise, funny and real human being and I thoroughly enjoyed being in his company. My thoughts and condolences to his friends and family. Arohanui Steven.

To the Fraser clan, I am thinking of you today and send my thoughts and condolences. What a special, unique, spiritual and wise soul Steven was and shall always be. We are old uni mates who kept in touch over the last 24 years (and the last 2 weeks - SRF had a weird dream about me losing my arms and was worried. I assured him by typing the reply all appeared okay). We have lost part of the rudder but, will carry on as he would insist. My fav quotes of Steven's (and there are many). "Maaaaate, life is not a popularity contest" and "I love interviews, its 30 minutes of the day when you get to talk about yourself". Classic. I admit that I stole and still utilize your brilliant chutzpah and swagger. My friend, the world just got smaller with your passing but larger with your memory. As you always said to me, Ka Kite Ano. Love you mate ARB Aka "Baldyman", Harry and Jaala B.
