(fondly known as Damo
or Siva):
On Monday 3 October 2022 Damo passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in Nelson Hospital following a heart attack. Sincere thanks to the staff at Nelson Hospital for their care, and those at the Nelson Golf Course who gave him immediate first aid. Loving husband of Arshini, devoted father of Dayanitha, Vidhiya and Purnima. Adored Thatha (grandfather) of Zara, Tyler and Maya. Cherished son of Sarojini. Much loved brother of Shreedaran and Rohini. Supportive father-in-law of Dan, Conrad and Nathan. A celebration of Damo's life will be held at St Christopher's Anglican Church, Tawa, on Monday 10 October 2022 at 10.00am, or you can view the service through livestream. https://vimeo.com/757353124/ac709d23a2 Damo enjoyed colour and the family would like you to wear what you feel best honours him. Damo shri and me were very good friends in kandy. The 3 of us would get an identical gift for our birthdays. 1970tht was the year.
Damo also visited us in Bangalore in 1976. He was a student of mcc madras.
We love you damo. May your soul rest in peace.

We were very saddened to hear of Damo's sudden passing. Damo nominated me to become a member of the Judgeford Golf Club and, along with Nihal Gonsalkorale, we spent many Saturdays playing there. Damo was very proud of his family and often talked about them during our rounds and afterwards when having a well-earned drink. Damo also worked with my wife at Gibson Sheat and I often saw him when we both worked in the Reserve Bank building. Damo was a very kind, gentle, and quiet person who will be missed. Our sincere condolences go to his family both here and overseas.

We have learned the shocking and unimaginable news thru Rudra Mama. Arshini, we cannot imagine the pain you´re feeling losing Damo. We are praying for your peace and comfort. We know there are no words that can ease your pain. Purnima, Vidya and Dayanitha, Thinking of you all during this difficult time losing your Dad. We recall how much time we spent together in the same house as a family.
