Siu-Ying CHU Obituary
On 19 May 2023, passed peacefully at Kenepuru Hospital, aged 100 years old, wife of Choy Tan Chu (deceased), surrounded by her family. It is with wonderful memories we farewell our strong, loving mother of Kit & Susan, Raymond (deceased) & Rita, Richard & Eileen, Siu Ling (deceased,) and Amelia & Paul. Special grandmother of Rosalie & Simon, Desiree & Charlie, Victoria, Belinda, Donna & Kenneth, Brandon, Damon, Diana & Tony, Amanda, Pam & Calvin, Sarah & Mike, Charis & Hiro, and much-loved great-grandmother of Jackson, Jasmine, Zooey, Marco, Mason, Cooper, Teddy, King, Zeke, Nagisa, and Yue. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and can be left at the service. Messages to the 'Chu' family may be left in Siu's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/- PO Box 14-366, Kilbirnie, Wellington 6241. A celebration of Sui Ying's life will be held on Monday 29th May at the Cockburn Street Chapel, cnr of Onepu Road & Cockburn Street, at 11.00am, followed by a private burial. Dearest cousin Siu Ying, we are saddened by your passing. You always gave us such heartfelt generosity; welcomeness; and words of wisdom which we will miss.
As the matriarch of your Chu family, our thoughts and deepest condolences are with all of your children; grandchildren and great grandchildren, who like us, will have many treasured memories with you. Thank You for all that you have given; and shared with myself and my family through the 8-9 decades.
May you rest in peace after a magnificent long and fulfilling life where you touched so many of people.

Our deepest sympathy & best wishes to all of Siu Ying tee (our 1st paternal cousin) children & extended family members.
She will be surely missed by everyone.
Even though we never met her in person,she was a household name & virtually known in our home we share with Tan Koo in Trinidad.
We were always updated on all the happenings throughout her life - always credited for her strong leadership and tenacity of all sorts.
May she rest in Peace.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to your extensive and loving family members. As the matriarch of the Chu Clan you were the epitome of grace and dignity, and you will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know you. Rest in eternal peace. Sincerest regards.
