ATHFIELD, Sir Ian Charles (Ath):
Died at Wellington Hospital on Friday 16 January 2015, aged 74 years, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Clare, father and father-in-law of Jesse and Xia Li, Zac and Sarah, brother of Tony, and grandfather of Lilly, Isla, Phoebe, Tommy and Sylvie. All who knew Ath will be deeply saddened by the passing of this great and wonderful man. Architect, builder, gardener, family man, raconteur, friend; Ath was a man of wisdom, vision, humility and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted for a Trust to be set up in Ath's name.
