IRWIN, Sina:
On 5 June 2021 at Hutt Hospital. Much loved mother of Christine, Glenn and Ken and Nana of Karlos and Maia. Much loved sister of Gary, Michael, Maria and Mark and loved Auntie of all her nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Sina's life will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Friday, 11 June 2021 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.

Funny how one conversation can make you think everything will be ok ...
So, what a fluke it was that us cousins would be in hospital, in the same ward, next to each other separated by a curtain on that dreadful February day. Each in our own ways fighting for our lives.
When I finally realised you were next to me, I tried to warm your cold hand while we talked about how you were waiting to go to Auckland for a procedure that would help a lot and mean you wouldn't have to come to hospital so often. Translation in my head - everything then will be ok.
I hope I made things a little easier for my cousin Sina on that day as she did for me.
