I am so sorry to learn of Simon's passing.

My deepest sympathy to Kaylene, Elizabeth and Hamish.

I had the opportunity/privilege of working with Simon regarding cases taken on behalf of workers to the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court and found him to be genuine and passionate in righting the wrongs that many working class people face in NZ. I am sure he will live on in the victories (the latest one was released on Employment Law Database today) he has achieved for NZ workers as they are used over and over again to support workers.

Rest in Peace Simon.

I met Simon 32 years ago in a pub in Nelson. Since that time he has been an advisor, lawyer to my brother, client and most importantly a friend. A great loss to his family & the profession RIP Simon.

I am so shocked and saddened by the news of Simon's death. It just makes no sense. Over so many years, every contact I had with him, professional or personal, was a welcome and enjoyed moment, almost always characterised by wry humour and a smile. Simon was one of the good guys. My deepest condolences to Kaylene, Elizabeth and Hamish. My thoughts are with you.
