I remember Simon at St Mary's Convent although he was three years ahead of me. My sister Susan is in the photo Mary Anne submitted. I most fondly remember Simon at Pompallier College. Not for his academic prowess but his ferocity as a Rugby player. I always thought he would make the All Blacks. Was really well liked by everyone at college even though he was head prefect. A true gentleman. RIP

I went to school with Simon at St Mary's Convent School in Whangarei. We didn't do things like name the classmate the most likely to succeed, and most would have voted for Simon. A lovely gentle young man then who went on to be a gentleman later. God bless and rest in peace. Mary Anne Gill (nee Field). This is the Form2 class of 1970 and Simon is back row, extreme right.

To Ellen and the France family. Recalling the times I spent with Simon all bring back very happy memories of a person who loved sports, who was happy in the kitchen, and was always looking ahead to new ventures. I am so sorry I cannot be with you today, April 13, to celebrate Simon's successes. David

Dear Ellen
I´m very sad to hear of Simon´s passing. I worked for Simon 20 years ago at Crown Law and I have lots of happy memories of that time. He loved a bad romcom, was kind and was a lot of fun to be around. He taught my younger self some important life lessons which I still value.
Warmly
Amy
