Sending my condolences to Sally, Blair & families on the sad loss of Sidney. Seems only yesterday that she celebrated turning 80. A lovely lady who loved and lived life fully.

Oh Sidney. How I am going to miss you . We had such lovely times together tripping around the country from Auckland to Wellington Rotorua to Wanganui & Napier . I shared many of your delicious meals & had so many haircuts!!!

Farewell Forever Young Sidney. Penelope and I always admired your strength of personality and ability to organise and get things done when others pondered. We knew each other from the Levin Music Society which you rallied for so often as President to make sure an excellent programme was assured. Of course you sang so beautifully with your trained voice right to the very end. We were so looking forward to your 90th birthday party this coming Sunday June 30th which you didn´t quite make. What fine memories you left with Levin´s musical fraternity. All our fondest thoughts we leave with you Cavan and Penelope Haines

I´m so sorry to hear of Sidney´s death . She was such a lovely lady and so talented. Many times I was blown away by her beautiful singing voice at the Levin Music Society. We shared a love of Jesus, music, dogs and hair ! The last few times I saw her in Ward 4 she was amazingly bright and full of joy and gratitude. A real star and an angel of light. I know her strong Christian Faith helped her a lot in her final days.She will be greatly missed by the hundreds of people whose lives she touched. May she sing as beautifully in Heaven as she did on Earth.RIP Sidney.

So sorry to hear of Sydneys passing, She was the first employer I sent students to for Work Experience. A Kind and strong Lady who took no nonsense and a wonderful Hairdresser.
