Peacefully at home surrounded by her whānau after a long illness. Dearly loved wife of Jonathan, most special mum to Ryan, Flynn, Caitlin and Kerry. Treasured mother-in-law to Rebecca and Nicole, World Famous Ma to Ruairi, Ciaran, Orla, Liam and Alby. Cherished daughter of the late Seamus and Thelma, and precious sister of Seamus and Deirdra. Loved and admired by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. We love you Shona, Darling. No flowers, donations to the Mary Potter Hospice appreciated. Messages and tributes for 'the Kavanagh family' can be placed in Shona's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/- PO Box 14-366, Kilbirnie 6241. Shona's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St Anthony, Falkirk Avenue, Seatoun on Wednesday 22nd June at 11.30am, thereafter interment at Makara Cemetery.

Dear Salter family. I was so sad to hear that Shona has passed away. Although we moved away from Seatoun over a decade ago, I have fond memories of Shona. She was a lovely and kind and probably the most organised person I've ever met. I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Much love from our family to yours.
