28 February 1926 – 10 March 2024
Peacefully in Waipukurau, aged 98 years, surrounded by family. Adored wife of 72 years of the late Raymond, wonderful mother and mother-in-law to Janice and John, Rae and Chris, Elaine and Sjoerd, and Chris and Dagmar (Chile). Much loved Nana of Eden (London), Caleb, Reuben (New Jersey), Angus, Hadleigh (Adelaide), and Gabe, Peta (Queensland) and Effie and great grandmother of Leana and Gemma (New Jersey), Charlie and Enso (Adelaide), Louis, Bella, Marley, and Ruby. Special thanks to Dr. Bob Stephens, Dr. Jane Nash and staff at Tukituki Medical Centre, and St John Ambulance. A service for Shirley will be held at "Stonehaven", 10 Peel St, Waipukurau on Wednesday 13 March at 10.00am, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated. These and any messages may be left at the service or posted to the King family:- C/- PO Box 200, Waipukurau 4242.
