Shirley HOLDAWAY Obituary

Died peacefully at Bupa Whitby Rest Home on Tuesday 28 November 2023 in the company of her loving daughters. Cherished wife of the late Colin. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Jenny and Tom, Karen and Steve, Viv and Gavin. Dearly loved by her 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Loved sister of Ron Robertson. Shirley's Celebration of Life will be held in the Ninness Funeral Home Chapel, 17 Kenepuru Drive, Porirua, on Monday 4 December 2023, commencing at 11.00am, followed by private cremation. The family would like to thank staff at Bupa Whitby for their love and care of Shirley. The service will be livestreamed and please email [email protected] for link details. Shirley was a pleasant person and I have nice memories of her from 40 plus years at and around Miramar Baptist . After those times, I would sometimes see her walking around Miramar ( Shirley never seemed to age ! ) and we would have a friendly chat . Lovely to have so many grandchildren and great- grandchildren . Sympathy to Jenny, Karen, Viv and all the family .
