McGRATH, Sheila Catherine
(Sister M. Kieran DOLC):
On Tuesday 14 December 2021, peacefully at Vincentian Rest Home, Wellington, aged 80 years. Beloved member of the Sisters of Compassion for 60 years. Loved daughter of the late Moya and John, loved sister of Noleen, Kevin, Margaret, Joseph and Brigid, all deceased. Much loved aunt to her nieces and nephews. A Vigil will be held at Our Lady's Home of Compassion Chapel, 2 Rhine Street, Island Bay (off Murray Street), on Sunday 19 December 2021 at 7.00pm. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the above Chapel on Monday 20 December 2021 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Karori Cemetery. If you are unable to attend the Mass and would like the livestream link, please email [email protected] for link details. Both the Mass and Vigil will require attendees to be vaccinated and a "My Vaccine Pass" will be required to be shown.
Funeral arrangements have been made by Larry Greco.

How quietly Sheila tolerated ill health and could still say the Hail Mary while lying down, seemingly asleep, even earlier this year, and frail for so long. God rest your soul, dear Sheila

My sincere condolences to the McGrath whanau and the Daughters of our Lady of Compassion on the death of Sister Sheila. She was a wonderful supporter of Iwi Maori and a hard working religious for the Lord. Moe mai ra e Whaea.
May she Rest In Peace.
