Shay FUIMAONO Obituary
We are saddened by the news that our Shay Fuimaono passed away suddenly on Friday 16th February. Beloved Son to Erena and Taimua, Beloved brother to Taimua and Yvette. Cherished Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and friend to many. He was surrounded by family and love when he passed, and fought his hardest to stay. His laugh and the warmth of his presence are already missed and he will remain in our hearts forever. We love you Shay!
The Funeral service details are below: Venue: Elim Church, 22 Tennyson St, Te Aro, Wellington. 10.00am -12.00pm: Shay will lay at Elim Church for people to visit and pay their final respects. 12.00pm: Final closing with close family and friends. 12.30pm: The Funeral service will start. 2.45pm: Shay will leave for the crematorium. Shay was a fantastic colleague and friend when I worked at Datacom. After I left, I had to buy him a coffee one day because I managed to walked past him with my nose in the phone and not see him at all and he called me on it. He had the most beautiful grin and I can´t quite believe we will never see it again. Sending big hugs to his whanau. RIP Shay

I worked with Shay for several years during my time at Datacom. I will always remember how kind, and generous he was. Unfortunately I learned of his passing too late to attend the funeral, but I'd like to wish all his closest friends and whanau all the best during this difficult time.
