BERRY, Ruby Doreen:
15.4.1930 - 26.3.2023
Ruby died peacefully at Winara Care Home following an illness. She was the devoted wife of Rod (dec), and loved mother and mother-in-law of Grant and Pam, Craig and Kay, Michele, Alan, and Peter (dec) and Sandra Strik. Ruby was the proud Grandma of Nicola, David and Madeleine, Joanne, Andrew, Ashleigh, Matthew and Erica, André and Caroline, and doting GGMa of Jordyn, Christian, Matilda, Imogen, Jake, Ritchie, Lulu, Rebekah, August, Oscar, Molly, Stanley and Petrus. The family would like to thank the staff of Winara for their care of Ruby, and also Dennis, the resident cat, who was at Ruby's side for the last few weeks of her life. A service to celebrate Ruby's life will be held on Friday, 31 March at 2.30pm in the Cedarwood Lounge at Waikanae Funeral Home, 17-21 Parata Street, Waikanae. A treasured and much loved Cousin of Len Anscombe. It was only through Ruby and Rod living in Wellington that my parents allowed me shift to Wellington for work back in 1957 I spent many happy times with them and the family for many years. Rest in peace dear Ruby.
