Ross BROWN Obituary

03/03/1960 – 05/01/2024

With tears we saw you suffer
We have watched you fade away
Our hearts were breaking
As you fought so hard to stay

Ross, much loved son of Maureen Clift and the late Bernie Brown, Stepson to John C Clift, loved husband of Robyn and father and father-in-law of Lee and Lee Ann, Sheena and Jonno, fantastic Poppa to Elizabeth, Caitlyn, Brea and Lachy, brother to Neil, Stephen, Suzanne, Bill, Margaret, Ian and their families. Ross left us with memories of an amazing man who gave all to those he touched, we are all blessed to have had Ross in our lives and may he rest in peace.

Tears in our eyes will wipe away
But the love in our hearts
Is here to stay

Hey bro
My heart aches with your passing, but it is eased knowing you are no longer in pain or suffering.
Regular contact is not in my skill set but those I care about have a place in my heart and that way they are always with me.
I send aroha and strength to Robyn and the kids.
Heroes are forever xx

I will remember the knowledge you freely shared, and the sore jaw from laughing. Even though it was only a short time that we worked together, I felt honoured that you referred to me as a mate during one of our last conversations. I will certainly miss our daily chats. My deepest condolences Robyn, Neil and family.

You were, are and always will be our rock. Tell it like it is and always the sound advice.
Colleague, friend, confidante, all those esteem titles you aspire to. Ross, You are surely missed.

My work husband, we argued, and we laughed but mostly laughed. I am so grateful to of had you in my life as you, Robyn and Neil are family. You and Neil were there for me through some of my hardest times which resonates with me. You were not only one of my rocks, but I know for a fact all of the girls in the office could confide in you and came to you for anything whether it was work related or personal we knew we could come to you for support or advice. I will always remember your many silly sayings, hearing 'bunch of fluffy ducks' every morning.

So much love to the entire family.

LM from Endata-Ross used to talk all the time about his rocks and how much he loved canoeing with his Grandchildren on the Island that he called home.

The last conversation I had with him - he said that he had an illness that will one day "get him".

He spoke with courage and said he would not go without a bit of a fight.

RIP Ross you were a great person.

When I started working alongside this great man I never knew the bond that we would create. He was gentle, caring and always willing to help others and was there to support me through some tough times without ever asking for anything in return, except maybe to set up his technical devices. I am forever blessed that I got to know him, he has touched my life and many more and I will always hold those memories close. Forever in our hearts.

In shadows of the past, I cast my gaze, a tale of pain unfolds, in haunting maze. I live today, trying to forget it all, Yet some days, the memories enthral. From colleague to friend. Your humour infectious, your knowledge respected, your presence always felt. My dear Ross you will be missed so much.

The sudden passing of our dear friend Ross has left us feeling incredibly saddened and empty. Over the course of just three years of knowing Ross, he brought us so much joy and friendship into our lives. Whether it was belting out his favourite tunes and fighting over who was going to get the mic on our karaoke nights or dressing up at our themed parties, Ross always knew how to have a good time, his party attire was legendary and never failed to put a smile on everyone's face. But it wasnt just the festivities that made Ross such a wonderful friend, he had a wealth of knowledge and we cherished the early morning conversations we had with him on the pier while waiting for the ferry. Those moments of deep connection and exchange of conversation will greatly be missed. Ross we loved you dearly and you will always hold a special place in our hearts Peter and Tanya Island friends
