Dear Rue's family, I am sad and sorry that you have lost your special Mum, Nana and friend. She was a very kind and selfless friend to me too, starting 39 years ago. Although our lives took different pathways, we managed to reconnect for our 50th birthday celebrations, in Waiuku and Lower Hutt, a month apart, and then in recent months we made contact again by letters. I regret that I didn't manage to see Rosemary again, but she knew our bond, and the journey we had shared, even when we weren't close any more. Many happy memories, and some lovely photos I have, will always be treasured. Be at peace, my old friend, Rue. Thank you for all you did for me. Love, Sue.
