Uncle Ron was a much loved and respected uncle to our Jones whanau. We already missed, at our whanau gatherings, his jokes and humour. Will never forget the day we picked him up walking along the motorway, miles from home going to the TAB! Fit as a fiddle he was at 80.
To Aunty Joyce, Bruce and Debbie he will live on in our memories for a long time to come.
May he Rest In Peace now with all those who have gone before and I know he will walk beside you everyday.
Thinking of you all as you say your final farewells and lay him to rest.

Sending my very deepest sympathy to all the Johnson family in the sad loss of a very dear friend and workmate at the Wellington Post Office Headquarters it was certainly a great privilege to work alongside Ron I will always remember Ron for his quick wit as he liked to tell a joke or two and I can never forget Ron as I would have believed that his transitor radio was glued to his ear when a race meeting was on these were the qualities that Ron portrayed to us all beside being an excellent Senior Clerk it was always a pleasure to be near Ron for a laugh and a story i can recall sending Ron a picture of him taken by me at the Thistle Hotel sometime ago unfortunately i will be unable to attend Ron's funeral tomorrow due to traveling deepest sympathy to you all from Ken Jaro and Jim Brodie Postal Manager Wellington Post Office.
