SHAW, Robyn Louise
(nee McEwen):
26.3.1942 – 5.11.2018
Born Lower Hutt. Much loved mother of Alasdair, Malcolm, Catriona, and Campbell, and mother-in-law of Sam, Elizabeth, Mike and Carey. Grandmother of Nicola, William, Katie, Lochie, Anna, Isaac and Nico. Sister of Carolyn. A teacher to many. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Palmerston North Hospital and Arohanui Hospice. In lieu of flowers a donation to Arohanui Hospice may be left at the chapel. A celebration of Robyn's life will be held at Beauchamp Chapel, 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North, on Monday, 12 November 2018 at 2.00pm.

Mrs Shaw was a fantastic teacher. She taught me in 1989 (form 2)and was the most wonderfully creative and inspiring person. I've thought of her often over the years and from reading the messages here she clearly touched the lives of many others in a long and interesting teaching career. May she rest in peace. Johanna

Dear Robyn
I am in total shock. We have shared so many memories together in the last 16 years. So many funky haircuts and colours, Japanese food,dinner dates,shopping,drinking wine,enjoying the sunshine,having our on going meaningful conversations. You were always there for me I will never forget that. You were always fill of words of wisdom. Thankyou for holding my hand through the tough times and celebrating the good.You are one of my best and dearest friends. Robyn you have been taken to soon from all of us.

Robyn will be sadly missed in the teaching community. We worked together in ESL teaching and certainly had some great times. I will miss her cheery face and kind words, plus the morning teas together.
