Robert THOMSON Obituary
Robert William (Bob):
Died peacefully at Te Hopai Hospital after a long illness and a very full life on Sunday, May 23, 2021, aged 78 years. Son of the late William and Kitty Thomson of Christchurch. Beloved husband of Marjorie for 52 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Nigel and Penny Thomson (Christchurch) and Cushla Thomson and Tim Ng (Wellington). Grandfather of Henry, Elizabeth, Fletcher and Teresa. We would like to invite you to celebrate Bob's life in a funeral service at St Teresa's Catholic Church, 301 Karori Road, Karori at 1.00pm on Thursday, May 27. We would like to thank Wadestown Medical Practice, the staff of Te Hopai Hospital and the team at Mary Potter for their wonderful care of Bob during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Hopai Hospital or Mary Potter would be greatly appreciated.

To All Bob's Family
Please accept my sincere condolences at Bob's passing. He was a great and loyal supporter of Maher Travel over many years and a good friend of the Maher Family. He has taken his final journey; may he rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of Robert's passing. He is now at peace. Robert and I were classmates for five years at high school(we called him Robert in those days). He showed his aptitude and drive even in those days. We called him "Slide rule Thomson", because he was the fastest with the slide rule in class. He of course went on to a great career.
Since then we have lived in different cities and countries, but have kept in touch and visited when we could. We had good discussions over the years and it would have been good to have lived closer. I will miss him.
