Robert Steward "Bob" TENNANT

Robert TENNANT Obituary

On April 18, 2024, peacefully at Summerset, Levin. In his 89th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Billie (formerly Gordon), and also the late Jocelyn (nee Potter). Loved father and father-in-law of Carolyn & John Duncan (Christchurch, formerly Whitby), Kevin & Sandra Tennant (Whitby), and Michael & Geraldine Tennant (Auckland), and very much loved Poppa and Great-Poppa of Sarah & Kirwan Franke, Noah and Amelia; Emily Duncan; Chris & Felicity Duncan, and Sloane; Lisa & Tim Armour, Indie and Jackson; Alex & Sam Bos, and Harrison; and Jessica and Daniel Tennant. Bob was also loved stepfather and father-in-law of Kerry & Helen Gordon (Waikanae), and Mike & Gillian Gordon (Otaki), and loved Poppa Bob of Kelly & Nathan Dickey, Cooper, Riley, and Taylor; Daniel & Kelly Gordon, Maddison, Adelaide, Lachlan, Logan, Austin and Audrey; Sam & Jane Gordon, Thea and Beau; Rosemary Gordon; and Christina Gordon. Special thanks to everyone at Summerset Memory Care Centre for their loving care of Bob over the past 17 months. A private family service to celebrate Bob's life has been held.

Bob------How nervous was I when I went to work at "Tennant Print" But it was so easy to get into the collating of "The Funeral Directors Journal" with such an easy going and helpful "Bob". I learnt much more than just collating with Bob and even after he sold his business, I carried on working at Tennant Print. I also caught up with him when I visited Alison at Summerset Levin which was always special. A perfect gentleman you must all be very proud of. Rest in peace, Bob--- My Love Julie Tregear
