Robert STEIN Obituary

As a former work colleague of this unique and colourful man, I was shocked to learn of his passing. With my deepest sympathy to his wife and family. May you be comforted in your grief.

Dear Drew
I first met you during those heady breathless corporate days at ECNZ.
As a relative youngster you were a kind of superhero to me, I deeply admired your drive, energy, vision and passion, your willingness to test the boundaries, think outside the square and how you achieved results without compromising your principles.
I also loved the way you accepted people on merit, gender never entered into it.
Later when I left the corporate world to focus more on my creative life you became one of the original members of my art friends group and over many years your consistent feedback, encouragement and moral support, were a huge source of motivation and inspiration.
It was a wonderful surprise too to discover what a talent you had for writing on hugely varied subjects, the story of your cat was a joy and great pleasure to read.
At your farewell I learnt so much more about you as a loving, caring, husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend.
The world has lost some more of its colour with your departure, you will be very much missed. Thank you with all my heart for being in my life. Go with God dear friend, I have no doubt that whatever your new adventures will be they will never be dull!

Condolances to the family.
Fond memories of Drew hosting a Transend Christmas function at the farm for staff and their families. Drew driving the motorbike and trailer with the kids on board down to the swimming hole for a swim. A great day.

He leaves behind a legacy of a visionary with the work that he undertook in the postal and consultancy world with Transend Worldwide.

My condolences to you all on Drew's passing. I worked for Drew 2001-2002, we shared many good times together overseas as part of the legendary Transend Worldwide.
