Robert KENSINGTON Obituary
On 11th July 2024, aged 81. Bob passed away peacefully at Claires home, surrounded by whānau. Cherished father of Andrew, Stu and Claire, and father-in-law of Phill. Loving granddad of Mira, Rae and Rika. Sammy, Logan and Leo. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice. Special thanks to our friend of the whānau, Michael Manuel, and the caring and beautiful team at Mary Potter Hospice. A service to celebrate the life of Bob will be held at Cockburn Street Chapel, cnr Cockburn St & Onepu Road, Kilbirnie, on Wednesday 17th July 2024 at 11.00am.

Sincere condolences to the Kensington whanau. Bob was a great bloke and tennis buddy at the Rangimarie Tennis Club. He was a strong player with all the strokes and enjoyed the Sunday afternoon games at the club and a beer afterwards. He did a lot of work helping to maintain the courts. I'll add a photo from 2016 in the clubroom with Bob sitting in his usual spot wearing the club sweatshirt.

Bob was one of my mentors when I was an apprentice and an up and coming builder at Freear Philips quite a few years ago. Always good to work with him with his upbeat humour. Kia Kaha
